How To Use Hair Straighteners
Steps
1. Blow-dry hair well after towel drying after a shower.
2. Let straightener heat up while brushing hair and making 1 inch layers of hair held by clips to make straightening easier.
3. Start near the head and go down to tips of hair, once you have straightened that layer, undo the next clip and straighten that layer.
4. Keep doing all layers until all of your hair is straight including the back.
5. The back is the hardest, especially with short hair. Start in the underneath hair and go layer by layer.
6. Pull fingers through hair after every layer.
7. Look in the mirror with your back facing it and use a hand mirror to look at the back. If not satisfied redo the strands that are not as good as the others.
Enjoy the day and don't get hair wet!!!
Tips
Make sure you have plenty of time the first few times you straighten it so you aren't rushed and you know how to do it correctly.
Be careful not to burn yourself on the straightener because it will hurt and you won't want to finish your hair.
If you are still having trouble, ask someone at a salon for help or more tips.
Warnings
Don't rush! (At least the first times.)
Be careful not to burn yourself.
Never, ever, ever use a hair straightener on wet hair unless its a wet n dry straightner, Otherwise it will fry your ends. As a rule of thumb, electricity and water do not mix.
Be wary of each strand you have just straightened. Your hair will heat up enough to burn you left and right, so let it cool before touching it.
